Position: Theatre Coordinator

The Dublin Downtown Development Authority is seeking a full-time Theatre Coordinator to perform day-to-day operations for Theatre Dublin and other DDA managed properties. The Theatre Coordinator will oversee the function of Theatre Dublin’s technical systems including a newly launched digital movie projection system. Additionally, the Theatre Coordinator will serve as primary point of contact for lessees and performers, serving as house and stage manager during performances.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Theatre Coordinator will work under the direction of the Theatre Director and be responsible for the following:

  • Work closely with Theatre Director on all projects and day-to-day functions of the Theatre including rentals, scheduling, and proper operation.
  • Oversee lessees for the duration of their rental at Theatre Dublin, ensuring all rules and regulations are followed.
  • Work with new and annual lessees as Stage Manager to ensure the lessee is equipped to execute a high-quality performance.
  • Work closely with Theatre Dublin’s approved sound and lighting technicians to ensure live events are visually and audibly pleasing, keeping Theatre Dublin’s technical integrity a priority.
  • Oversees the operation of the newly launched Martin Movie House, Theatre Dublin’s digital movie projection system and assist Theatre Director with programming, compliance, sales, and reporting.
  • Assists with pre-show advertising production and sales for Martin Movie House.


  • Qualified candidates should have an academic background and/or experience in theatre. 
  • A strong technical background is preferred, with knowledge and training in light and sound engineering and stage management.
  • Additionally, he or she should have strong communication skills and should be able to maintain positive relationships with Theatre patrons and lessees.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to operate a variety of theatre instruments, office machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials.
  • Must be able to safely use ladders, stairs, and lift equipment.
  • Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for active work.  Must be able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten pounds of force frequently.  Must be able to lift and/or carry weight of twenty to forty pounds.


  • Annual salary:  starts at $24,000, based on experience
  • Earned vacation time and nine (9) paid holidays annually
